DETROIT (WXYZ) -- The Tigers announced Saturday that Major League Baseball has made a ruling regarding suspensions from the team's brawl with the New York Yankees on August 24.
Miguel Cabrera will serve a six-game suspension (down from the initial seven games), Alex Wilson will serve a three-game suspension (down from the initial four games), and Brad Ausmus will serve a one-game suspension. All three suspensions begin Saturday night.
Detroit announced Gene Lamont will serve as manager for Saturday night's game against Cleveland.
