(WXYZ) -- The Tigers recalled third baseman Jeimer Candelario from triple-A Toledo on Sunday night with shortstop Jose Iglesias on the bereavement list.

Candelario joined the Tigers organization as part of the trade that sent Justin Wilson and Alex Avila to the Chicago Cubs.

In 86 minor league games this season (81 with Iowa, five with Toledo), Candelario is hitting .263 with 13 home runs and 53 RBI. Candelario also has five hits, a home run and three RBI in 11 games for the Cubs this season.
