HAMTRAMCK, Mich. (WXYZ) -- Tyrone Mondi scored in the final minutes of stoppage time and Detroit City FC edged AFC Ann Arbor 3-2 to win the NPSL Midwest Region championship Saturday night.
Goals by Jordan Tyler (35th minute) and Omar Sinclair (45th minute) gave Detroit City FC a 2-0 lead entering the second half.
AFC Ann Arbor tied the game with Tendai Jirira (75th minute) and Alec Lasinski (81st minute) scoring six minutes apart.
Detroit City FC advances to the NPSL National Semifinals on August 5.
