(WXYZ) — The Detroit Pistons are reportedly planning to hire a general manager, 7 Action News has confirmed. It was first reported by ESPN.
The team has opened a search to hire a GM to work with senior advisor Ed Stefanski, and they could contact potential candidates to start the interview process as early as this week.
Stefanski will be working with Arn Tellem on the process, and the new GM will work closely with Stefanski and Head Coach Dwane Casey on personnel matters.
This will be a position added to bolster the front office staff and the team is not moving on from anyone.
