(WXYZ) -- The first NBA All-Star voting update released by the league Thursday includes Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant and guard Derrick Rose in the top ten at their respective positions among Eastern Conference players.
With 134,487 votes, Grant ranks 10th among Eastern Conference frontcourt players. Rose ranks eighth among Eastern Conference guards with 183,899 votes.
Brooklyn's Kevin Durant (2,302,705 votes) leads the frontcourt vote and Washington's Bradley Beal (1,273,817 votes) leads the guards vote in the Eastern Conference.
Grant is Detroit's leading scorer this season, averaging 23.7 points per game, with Rose second at 14.2 points per game.
Rose is a three-time All-Star (2010, 2011, 2012) while Grant has never been selected as an All-Star.
"It's good to see his hard work pay off if he is fortunate enough to get voted in," Pistons head coach Dwane Casey said Thursday when asked about Grant's All-Star potential. "I think he should be. He's a very talented young man. I hope our record doesn't hurt him in any way, but he deserves (to play), from a talent standpoint, from young guys I've had, he fits right in."
NBA All-Star voting runs through February 16.
