(WXYZ) -- Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin and Michigan passing game coordinator Pep Hamilton may be candidates for the Arizona State head coaching vacancy, according to a report from USA Today's Dan Wolken.
Arizona State fired head coach Todd Graham on Sunday.
Wolken's report states that Arizona State athletic director Ray Anderson is "intrigued by coaches with NFL ties," thus the interest in Austin and Hamilton. Hamilton spent 11 seasons as an NFL assistant with the Jets, 49ers, Bears, Colts, and Browns.
However, Wolken adds that Kevin Sumlin, who was fired by Texas A&M on Sunday, would be a "high priority."
