SEATTLE (WXYZ) -- Former Michigan State defensive lineman Malik McDowell, now with the Seattle Seahawks, was injured in an accident, the team announced Sunday.
In a release, the team stated that McDowell was "injured in a vehicular accident...during the NFL break period."
According to a report from NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the vehicle in question was an ATV.
Seahawks DL Malik McDowell was injured in an ATV accident, suffered a concussion and facial injuries, sources tell me and @JamesPalmerTV.

The Seahawks confirmed McDowell is in Michigan receiving medical treatment.
