Oakland's volleyball team made history this season, with four players receiving Horizon League honors.

Darien Bandel received the top award, winning the 2017 Horizon League player of the year honor. She's the first Golden Grizzlies volleyball player to be named conference player of the year in the program's Division I history. Bandel was also named the offensive player of the year and named to the conference's first team.

Sammy Condon picked up her school-record fourth all-league honors. The senior captain was named to the conference's first team. Condon became the school's all-time total blocks leader this season, and also reached 1,000 career kills.

Krysteena Davis earned a place on the Horizon League's honorable mention team and Jamie Walling is on the all-freshman team.
