(WXYZ) — Jack Hughes will have a sore hand soon.
The No. 1 overall pick, who signed his entry level contract with the Devils last week, signed an exclusive autograph trading card contract with Upper Deck.
His first autographed cards will be featured this fall in 2019-20 Black Diamond. Upper Deck also says Hughes will be featured on brand packaging this upcoming season.
“Jack Hughes is an exceptionally talented and hard-working player who has proven himself both on and off the ice,” said Jason Masherah, president of Upper Deck. “We are proud to welcome him to the Upper Deck family and add him to our roster of exclusive autograph signers.”
Hughes played two seasons in Plymouth's USA Hockey Development Program. New Jersey won the lottery, and picked the center with the top pick in June's NHL Draft.
