(WXYZ) — Detroit Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres will remain with the team in 2026 after accepting a qualifying offer, according to multiple reports.
The Tigers extended the offer to Torres on Nov. 6, and the reports came down Tuesday that he accepted the offer, reportedly worth just over $22 million.
The 28-year-old second baseman was an all-star for the Tigers last season and had a .256 batting average, .745 OPS with 16 home runs and 74 RBIs.
