DETROIT — Detroit Lions fans who are still fuming over a series of arguably unfair calls against the team can now wear their frustrations on their sleeves – or chest that is.

“If you can’t beat us cheat us” T-shirts in Honolulu blue are now being sold on Amazon and several sports stores in Michigan, including Sports Mania in Detroit.

Smack Apparel Founder Wayne Curtiss says he was watching the game from his home in Tampa, Florida, when he came up with the T-shirt slogan.

“That was a terrible call,” said Curtiss referring to an unnecessary roughness penalty on Lions defensive back Tracy Walker and then a subsequent illegal contact penalty on defensive end Trey Flowers.

“I couldn’t believe the second one, I was like, ‘Wow those fans have got to be upset.’”

It’s been three days since the fateful calls and Lions fans are still airing their frustration. A group of anonymous fans purchased seven billboardsalong metro Detroit freeways depicting a referee with a cheesehead.
