(WXYZ) — Michigan State's final game of the season against Maryland has been canceled due to COVID-19 involving Maryland Athletics.
According to the university, Maryland canceled the game under the guidance and advice from university medical staff.
Between Dec. 10-16, there were 15 student athletes who tested positive for COVID-19, according to Maryland, and three more presumptive positive tests came back this morning. Another six positive tests were among staff.
Earlier this week, Michigan canceled its game against Iowa, the third straight game.
The game was a reschedule from the Maryland vs. Michigan State game that was canceled earlier this year due to COVID-19 involving the Terrapins athletic department.
