(WXYZ) — Oakland University alumnus Brian Stuard shot -6 in a 36-hole qualifier Monday to earn a spot in the 2019 U.S. Open.
This will be Stuard's fourth U.S. Open appearance.
Stuard finished in a four-way tie for first at the qualifier. He was one of six golfers to earn a spot for the U.S. Open, which will take place June 10-16 at Pebble Beach.
He has qualified three previous times for the U.S. Open, but has yet to make the cut.
