(WXYZ) — Patrick Kane’s time in Detroit is over. The legendary forward has signed a two-year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Kane spent the last three seasons with the Red Wings, signing with Detroit following hip surgery. He had an immediate impact for the team.
In his three seasons, he had 106 goals and 161 assists, and was welcomed with open arms. Now, Kane returns to the team where he started his career and spent 16 seasons.
The contract is worth $8 million a year.
