(WXYZ) — Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin spoke about his friendship with Kobe Bryant on Monday morning.
Bryant died at the age of 41 in a tragic helicopter crash in California on Sunday afternoon.
Griffin talked about his first memory of seeing Bryant play. He said it was an exhibition game in Oklahoma City one day and he remember watching Bryant in layup lines.
He also went on about how during Griffin's rookie year, he went to the same physical therapist Kobe used.
"I didn't know what to say, so I just said, 'Hi,'" Griffin said to the media. "We spent the next two hours talking and I walked away thinking that was the coolest moment ever."
