(WXYZ) — The Detroit Red Wings have reportedly traded defenseman Nick Jensen to the Washington Capitals for defenseman Madison Bowey, according to a report from TSN. The team also sent a fifth round pick to the Caps and the Wings will receive a second round pick in 2020.
Jensen, 28, is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and is in his their season with the Red Wings. In 60 games this season, he has two goals and 13 assists and is a +1.
Bowey, 23, was drafted in the second round of the 2013 draft and is his second season with Washington. He's appeared in 33 games for the Caps this season and has one goal and five assists.
