(WXYZ) -- Detroit Pistons guard Derrick Rose plans to withdraw from the NBA All-Star Skills Challenge, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Rose had been announced as a Skills Challenge participant Tuesday. He won the competition as a rookie in 2009.
Rose left Detroit's overtime win over Denver Sunday early with a left groin issue.
The Skills Challenge will be part of All-Star Saturday Night in Chicago on February 15.
