DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Daniel Norris has been medically cleared to rejoin the team's 60-man player pool and will begin workouts Tuesday at Comerica Park.
Norris tested positive for COVID-19 four weeks ago. The State of Michigan considers people recovered from COVID-19 30 days after the onset of symptoms.
According to MLive, Tigers GM Al Avila said Norris was getting tested all the time, and that he was close to returning.
Detroit begins the regular season on Friday at Cincinnati.
