Smoke from California wildfire moving over Michigan's Upper Peninsula

(WXYZ) - Smoke from the massive wildfires burning in California and in western North America has made its way to Michigan.

According to the National Weather Service, the smoke from the fires is shrouding the sun in the Upper Peninsula and potentially reach the ground in the western UP.

Around 10 a.m., the NWS said that it was along the western coast of the UP and will continue to move through the area throughout the day.

People up north might be able to smell smoke and skies will turn hazy.
