Cooper and Binkley has been in the Brighton Community for several decades. It was eight years ago that Barbra opened Binks and Babs Boutique. Currently the boutique remains closed, but Barbra hopes to have it open sometime next week.
Throughout the stay-at-home order, they have kept busy donating helping frontline workers.
Gift cards to healthcare works, frontline workers, and anyone else who has had to risk their health to help others during the coronavirus pandemic. In all, 60 gift cards with $150 on them were donated. They also took orders for additional PPE to donate to local hospitals.
To make an appointment at Cooper and Binkley, people can call or text 810-623-4345. You can also reach out to them on social media to set up an appointment. Their hours are Tuesday through Friday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For those who do not want to go inside the storefront, they have started a website for people to shop online.
In the meantime, Barbra is encouraging people to shop in Brighton stores.
“There’s a great group of downtowners here in Brighton, we have a lot of local shops, a lot locally owned people who left big careers who left big industries to be here and be part of our community, so it’s just really important to shop local,” said Binkley.
