ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (WXYZ) — Warmer weather is just around the corner, and for Waves in St. Clair Shores, now is usually the busiest time of the year.

“We see a lot of our business in the spring and summer, especially with the marinas opening up across the street from us,” said Marketing Director of Waves Mike Rouse.

Waves just celebrated its 23-year anniversary. It is known for its fish and seafood dishes. Every Tuesday, the restaurant offers specials for "Takeout Tuesday" and deals on "Fresh Caught Fridays."

Waves has also taken measures to protect both customers and employees, including doing temperature checks and wearing masks and gloves. Waves has also installed plexiglass in the lobby and has set up a sanitization station.

The restaurant is encouraging people to place orders over the phone and pick them up curbside. If you do go into the restaurant, you will be only one of four allowed in the lobby.

Waves can also be found on DoorDash. They are open daily from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Rouse said they have seen regulars and new customers checking them out.

“We can’t thank them enough, honestly, because without them, we wouldn’t even be able to keep our doors open,” said Rouse.
