Every Wednesday 7’s Andrea Isom heads to a new part of metro Detroit to check up on local eateries so you know if you should “chow down” or “put your fork down.”

Once Isom sets her sights on a city, she combs through the Health Inspector’s reports to find out which restaurants made the grade and which failed.

She then pays a visit to the two restaurants with the most priority health violations and a restaurant with zero violations – but that’s not always the case – to find out what’s going on and if the violations have been corrected.

This week, Isom is setting sail to St. Clair Shores. One of the three restaurants featured had a whopping 12 priority health violations.

The health inspector noted on his report that employees were not washing their hands well enough, getting underneath the fingernails, or in between the fingers either… Ewww.

To find out which restaurants in St. Clair Shores passed and which failed the health inspector’s report, tune in to 7 Action News at 6 Wednesday.
