A 5-year-old boy was struck and critically injured by a hit-and-run driver in Hamtramck on Saturday afternoon, police said.
It happened at about 4:30 p.m. near Zinow Street and Fleming Street in Hamtramck.
The boy was transported to Children's Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Police are searching for a silver, early-2000's model Chevy Impala. The vehicle has what appears to be a 'donut' spare tire on the rear passenger side.
According to police, the vehicle was driven by a lone black male. It has a spoiler on the trunk lid, police said.
