10:07 a.m.

Michigan State Police say the scene is secure and a  suspicious package has been cleared and deemed safe at the Ford plant in Woodhaven.

A disgruntled employee went to the plant and pulled out a gun during a labor dispute. Police were called to the scene and approached the suspect. As officers approached the suspect, he pulled out the gun and killed himself.

Police say no one else was injured and no other shots were fired.

Ford released this statement to 7 Action News:

"Employees at Woodhaven Stamping Plant are safe after they were evacuated when a worker pulled a gun at the plant and shot himself. Woodhaven police are on the scene."

9:58 a.m.

The Woodhaven Deputy Police Chief said a disgruntled employee at the Ford Stamping Plant came in for a labor dispute on Friday morning and presented a gun.

Police were called to the scene and approached the suspect. As officers approached the suspect, he pulled out the gun and killed himself.

Police say no one else was injured and no other shots are fired.

The bomb squad is on scene investigating a suspicious package that was left behind.

9:48 a.m.

Watch the latest live update from the scene after one person was killed during an active shooter incident at the Ford Stamping Plant in Woodhaven.

The shooter is down and one person is confirmed killed. Police haven't said if the shooter is the one dead. 

Multiple police agencies including Flat Rock police, Michigan State Polie and more are on scene.

The bomb squad has been called ot determine if an unattended package is connected to the incident.

We're told it happened on the second floor and SWAT teams are going room to room to clear the building.

9:35 a.m.

At least one person is dead after an active shooter incident at the Ford Stamping Plant in Woodhaven.

Police say the situation is "neutralized" and police say the shooter is "down" but they haven't said if they were killed.

SWAT and the Bomb Squad are on scene to investigate as well. A suspicious item was found near the body at the plant.

Workers tell 7 Action News there was a man with a gun inside the building.

9:30 a.m.

Police are going room to room after an active shooter was shot by police at the Ford Stamping Plant in Woodhaven. It's not clear if the suspect was killed but they have to go room to room and clear the building.

An active shooter was shot by police at the Ford Woodhaven Stamping Plant on Thursday morning. 

Police did not confirm to 7 Action News if the suspect was killed but they did say the "situation is neutralized."

A source tells 7 Action News at least one person is dead but they did not confirm if that was the shooter.
