As the Queen of Soul prepares for a big Valentine's Day concert at the Casino Windsor on February 13th she is stepping up to help people in Flint dealing with the water crisis.

Aretha Franklin is offering Flint residents a free night's stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Southfield.

She says she knows how difficult it is for people to take showers or baths in clean water, so this is a way she can help.

You must register at her father's church, New Bethel Baptist in Detroit, located at 8430 Lynwood Street at Philadelphia this Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm.

You need to show proof of home ownership in Flint with a mortgage statement or rental statement.

Also you need state ID or a driver’s license and the church will direct you to the hotel.
