When terrified drivers called police after someone threw rocks at cars driving at highway speeds on I-696 in Warren late Sunday night, police immediately responded. They arrested four suspicious young men near where it happened.  But do they have the right people in custody?

An attorney for one of the young men says the family of one young man has uncovered surveillance video that they believe clears them of wrong-doing.  Police confiscated the video for the investigation, but the teen’s attorney says it shows one group of boys run from the scene around the time the crime was reported.  A short time later the young men charged show up to hang out.

Lucia Rossi says her husband tracked down the video.  After their son was arrested he questioned him about what happened, then went to verify the story.  He found a business near where he said he was with surveillance cameras.  He asked him to share the video with police to save his son from what he says are unjust felony charges.

“It is about clearing my son because his reputation has been tarnished and of all the people in the world he is the last who should have a tarnished reputation,” said Lucia Rossi, the mom of one of the defendants.

Rossi is calling on police to search for the other boys seen in the video.

“It could still happen. You have the wrong people, so it could still happen,” said Rossi.
