A man, gunned down in cold blood by his friend and it’s all caught on camera as the U.S. Marshals grow more desperate to find the suspect.

Every week we tell you about fears of what Detroit’s Most Wanted fugitives may do if they’re not caught.

The Marshals say this is a perfect example, they’ve been hunting for Maurice Stewart for years but for one family, it’s already too late.  Now, law enforcement needs your help to make sure he doesn’t strike again.

“Maurice stalks him out, he looks for him, drives around ,looks for him finds him come out, shoots him in cold blood on a busy street,” Deputy U.S. Marshal Aaron Garcia said. “The victim probably didn’t see it coming at all, 15-20 minutes earlier they’re hanging out at a club.”

It was the early hours of July 5th when a group of friends left this club on 8 mile.

“There may have been an argument in a parking lot, might have been some words exchanged between the victim and Maurice Stewart, ultimately around 15 minutes later you see the victim walking down the street,” Garcia said.

Police say the shooting video identified Maurice Stewart as the killer, a man who is no stranger to law enforcement.

“Stewart is not only a killer, he’s a smart killer because we’ve been looking for this guy, we were looking for this guy before this homicide,” Garcia said.

Stewart has a long rap sheet including drugs, guns and violence.

“Stewart is also wanted by the FBI out of the Northern District of Ohio on federal charges,” Garcia said.

Maurice Stewart is 40-years-old, he’s 5’10” 200 lbs and is to be considered armed and dangerous.

“We do know he’s going to have a gun on him, he’s going to be violent, we do know somebody else is going to get hurt,” Garcia said. “He will kill again, we need to find this guy.”

There is a cash reward for any information leading to Stewart’s arrest. You can call the U.S. Marshals anytime at (313) 234-5656.
