An energy emergency could impact holiday travel this weekend.

Governor Snyder is declaring an energy emergency--and it all boils down to a potential shortage of gasoline.

A new fuel pipeline is shut down in Wisconsin and there is an unplanned outage at the Detroit Marathon refinery.

Using his official powers, Snyder will allow trucks transporting fuel to spend more hours on the road to ensure fuels are available.

State and federal regulations to limit their time in transport will be suspended until June 6th - as part of an effort to also keep gas prices down.
