Four more Meijer curbside pickup locations have been added in southeastern Michigan.

Meijer announced Thursday stores in Rochester Hills, Brighton, Fort Gratiot and Lapeer will offer the online shopping service.

Curbside pickup allows you to shop online and pickup your groceries curbside without leaving your car.

By the end of the year, Meijer Curbside will be offered at 33 stores in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Illinois.

Michael Ross, vice president of Digital Shopping and Customer Marketing, says Meijer Curbside is all about the convenience to customers.

"Providing an all-encompassing service that offers grocery, health and beauty and general merchandise items, and allows customers to pick up orders in as little as a few hours in a game changer for many of our shoppers," Ross said.

Since launching the program at stores in Canton and Ann Arbor last year, Ross says he has seen the number of orders double in the weeks following the store launches due to popular demand.

He expects the number of orders will eventually grow to 100 per day. More than 80 percent of weekly orders currently come from repeat customers, which Ross says shows how quickly an online shopping option is gaining popularity, especially among busy parents and young millennials.
