The Fraser mayor says 12 students and two teachers were transported to the hospital after falling ill at the 'Arts Academy in the Woods.'

The art school is located in the 32100 block of Caroline Street in Fraser. The school has been evacuated.

Emergency crews say they received a call that numerous students were sickened at the school. Paramedics responded to the scene.

HAZMAT was also called out to the scene. The 12 students and 2 teachers were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Students were evacuated and excused for the day.

Witnesses told 7 Action News that students were coughing and vomiting.

An investigation is underway into what caused the students to get sick.

The school's principal says school will be closed tomorrow and resume on Monday.

So far, HAZMAT has not found anything wrong with structure. It is believed that something was brought in to the school that caused the reaction.

Two teachers and five students have been released so far from hospitals.
