A Detroit teenager, who was put in handcuffs and shackles, ran away from a Michigan Department of Corrections facility this afternoon on the city's east side.

Several agencies are looking for 19-year old Rowvontae Walker of Detroit.

Walker is 19-years-old and has a mole on the right side of his face. He has tattoos on his right forearm, lower right arm, back and chest. He is 5’10’’ and approximately 160 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

Police say Walker had a meeting with his probation officer at the Lawton Parole Office in Detroit, and when he showed up around 3:00 pm, he was placed in handcuffs and shackles. We're told he violated his probation for carjacking, but we're not told how he did this.

They say video shows him jumping onto I-94 near Lawton, and running away.

Around 5:15, nearly a dozen officers swarmed the area, looking up and down the banks of the freeway. Detroit Police and Border Patrol are assisting state officers.

He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and burgundy pants. If you have any information, call police right away..
