One dead, one injured in shooting at Detroit business, suspects at large

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Robbers shot and killed a co-owner at Water Station located on Goldengate St. and Woodward Avenue, according to the Detroit Police Department.

The employee, 29-year-old Devin Lewis, was taking out the trash when he was stopped by two robbers, police say.

He was one of three owners of the Water Station. All three young men were closing up for the night when the masked suspects approached.

Police say the suspects accosted them, took the cash register inside and forced them all outside, making them empty their pockets.

That's when they opened fire, killing Lewis. A bullet grazed the arm of one of the other owners, police say.

Lewis' loved ones are simply devastated. Police are still searching for the two men responsible.
