Clinton Township resident Bonnie Welch is getting a much different view of her home than she had just a week ago.

Today, a contractor was on site making the needed repairs to a fence she told us was falling apart.

"Wood itself is warping," she said.

Five years ago, Welch says she forked over more than $4,000 to Mulligans Windows, Siding, and Roofing to build a fence that would help secure her two dogs.

But less than a year later, with it still in warranty, the wood paneling - she says - began to shift, making it so a gate to the fence was unable to close.

Welch says she got nowhere after several calls out to the company over the course of four years.

Channel 7 reached out to Mulligan got a response — the owner, Cory Habucke, explaining there was a mis-communication.

"I didn’t receive any information in regards to this particular customer that she was having this issue for this long," he said.

But he says he’s committed to all the changes needed, including replacing all the eroding paneling, installing a new gate door, and securing the fence's framework.

Welch says she's relieved to get some resolve. "I feel great," she said. "I’m so glad I called [Channel 7]."
