The University of Michigan police department is investigating the attempted abduction of a 10-year-old child by a man that reportedly had "Albert Einstein" styled hair.

Police say the incident happened on North Campus on Thursday.

Officials say an unknown man attempted to lure the child into his vehicle in Lot NW46 on McIntyre Dr. at around 8:15 a.m.

The man was reportedly driving a four-door black car and waved the child to the vehicle. Police say she ran away instead of approaching him.

The man is described as a white male, between 50 and 60 years old with gray hair styled "like Albert Einstein." He was wearing a black leather jack and sunglasses.
