Troy police say suspects known as thieves spotted at the Somerset Collection took off when confronted, ending in an officer-involved crash in the city.
We're told Loss Prevention Officers at Saks Fifth Avenue spotted the group of known thieves in the Louis Vutton section of the store over the weekend.
When they were confronted, the five suspect fled the area, speeding off from the mall.
That's when one of the cars crashed into an Oakland County Sheriff's Vehicle.
The deputy suffered minor injuries and is expected to be OK.
