The Detroit Tigers announced their Spring Training schedule as well as renovations to TigerTown in Lakeland, Fla. on Thursday.
The team will open the season against Florida State College on Thursday, Feb. 23. It will also feature games against the New York Yankees on St. Patrick's Day, Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles and more.
Renovations to Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium include more shade, more box seats, more air conditioned spaces, rebuilt and expanded restrooms, more concession stands and other restaurants.
They have also added LED video displays and scoreboard, a kids playground, a new area called the runway which gives fans a 360-degree-view of the field.
