DETROIT (WXYZ) -- Joanne Lindsay, wife of Hockey Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay, died at the age of 81, the Red Wings announced Thursday.
The team expressed condolences on Twitter to the Lindsay family.

Joanne and Ted Lindsay were married in 1989, and would have celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary in March. Joanne served on the Board of Directors for the Ted Lindsay Foundation, which has raised over $3 million to support autism research and educational programs.
