It was a big weekend in Michigan football as the team got its first win under head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Brad Galli sat down with Harbaugh on Monday for Inside the Huddle, where he talked about his first win and more.

"Getting that first positive step of being rewarded for your effort and winning is a much better feeling," Harbaugh said. "You're nowhere until you get your first win."

One of the reasons they won was from the running game, specifically running back De'Veon Smith.

"Better precision, better working together, better running," Harbaugh said. "we made improvements across the board."

Harbaugh also mentioned how he had former Michigan Head Coach Lloyd Carr talk to the team.

"The message he gave the team was spot on, it really resonated with all of us," Harbaugh said. "When it comes to Lloyd Carr, he's for us, and I don't think there's anything he wouldn't do for the University of Michigan and for the University of Michigan football team.

Harbaugh also brought up DB Jabril Peppers, who has played very well in the first two games of the season. He has 11 tackles, nine of which are solo, and was also out with the offense for the kneel-down at the end of the game.

He didn't leave out the possibility of Peppers taking some snaps on the offense.

"It's an option," Harbaugh said. "You always want your opponent to think that there's options, cause there always is."

One of the things Harbaugh is critiqued is that he won't answer questions about himself, and instead focuses on the team.

As to why he always focuses on the players, he said because, "It's the truth."

"It's the way it is. It's about the players. Greater share is about the players, and their families that are watching them," Harbaugh said.

Plus, he talked about what his wife thought on being back in Ann Arbor and at the Big House watching him coach.

"She was doing good, she is so supportive," he said. "She's a winner, she's a champion all the way."
