Hundreds of people are expected to team up at the Detroit Zoo this week for a walk to fight ovarian cancer. Click the video player for JoAnne Purtan's interview on 7 Action News at Noon, and to see what you can do to help the cause.
The walk will take place Sunday September 18th. Registration begins at 7:45 am with the walk beginning at 9 a.m. The event will benefit the efforts of the "Belinda Sue Fund" to raise awareness of ovarian cancer. The goal is to raise money to support the advancement in identifying an effective tool for screening ovarian cancer.
Before the walk participants can enjoy a warm-up Zumba session and a variety of activities for families.
Registration is $30 for ages 15 and older and $20 for children 2-14 years old.
