ROSEVILLE, Mich. — 7 Action News obtained exclusive dash cam video of a police chase that ended in a crash and one woman in critical condition once it was called off in Roseville.
Early Monday morning, officers attempted to pull over a white Impala for a burned out headlight. The driver fled from officers, who were then told not to chase the vehicle due to high speeds.

Minutes later, another officer witnessed the suspect’s vehicle speeding on Gratiot. The Impala smashed into another vehicle at the intersection of 12 Mile and Gratiot.
A 49-year-old St. Clair Shores woman who was in the other vehicle was hospitalized and listed in critical condition.

The suspect fled on foot and was arrested shortly after.
“You can see the driver get out, get himself together and take off on foot running across the road” says Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith.
Mack Cox, 25, of St. Clair Shores was charged with several felonies including failure to stop, fleeing a police officer and resisting arrest. He was arraigned on the charges and faces up to 10 years in prison.
Cox is being held on a $75,000 cash bond.

Prosecutors say they still don’t know why Cox ran, although he was caught with stolen credit cards in his possession.
