(WXYZ) — Michigan drivers are now paying an average price of $2.94 per gallon for regular unleaded, 9 cents more than a week ago, AAA Michigan reports.
AAA notes that drivers are paying about 7 cents less than this time last year.
Motorists are paying an average of $44 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, a discount of $3 from when prices were their highest last May.
The most expensive gas price averages were found in Metro Detroit ($2.95), Ann Arbor ($2.95) and Lansing ($2.94.) The least expensive were found in Marquette ($2.87), Traverse City ($2.87) and Saginaw ($2.91.)
