MACOMB CO., Mich. (WXYZ) — Heads up, I-696 in Macomb County will be closed from I-75 to I-94 this weekend for construction.

The closure will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2 and last until Monday, Aug. 5. at 5 a.m.

There will be only one local lane open from I-75 to Mound Road. That lane will allow access to local businesses and residences only.

The detour will be from southbound I-75 to eastbound M-12 (Eight Mile Road) to I-94.
