(WXYZ) — I-94 will close in Detroit this weekend so crews can demolish an overpass.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, K-94 will close in both directions between I-75 and Conner Ave. so crews can demolish the Frontenac St. overpass.
Westbound I-94 traffic will be detoured to westbound 8 Mile, southbound Gratiot and northbound I-75 back to I-94.
Eastbound will be detoured to southbound I-75, eastbound Gratiot connector, northbound Gratiot and eastbound 8 Mile back to I-94.
All ramps will close at 7 p.m. Friday before the highway closure starts at 9 p.m.
