(WXYZ) — Michigan gas prices are up 2 cents compared to last week, AAA Michigan reports.
Drivers are now paying an average price of $2.06 per gallon for regular unleaded.
Motorists are paying an average of $31 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, AAA says.
“The slight uptick in gas demand has likely led to the small increase in Michigan gas prices,” said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, AAA-The Auto Club Group. "If demand decreases as stocks tighten, motorists could see prices hold steady through the week."
Compared to last week, Metro Detroit’s average daily gas price decreased slightly. Metro Detroit’s current average is $2.14 per gallon.
