The 11th annual GM River Days festival will be taking over the Detroit RiverWalk this weekend.
The festival kicks off Friday, June 23 and ends Sunday, June 25. This is the time of year you can stroll the Detroit river, eat, drink and be merry.
So here's what you need to know before heading out.

Children aged 3 and under and seniors 65 and up get in for free

Participants in the RiverFront run also get in for free

Free admission on Friday June 23 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Weather:
Be prepared for some rain! Showers are expected on Friday and Sunday. The temperatures will range from the 70's-80's for the weekend, and make sure you check the weather updates on WXYZ.combefore heading out.
Events to check out:
The festival has plenty of kid-friendly events from a fitness play date on Sunday, face painting, zip lines, a giant summer slide and activities for the adults include yoga, street performers, Tuskegee Airmen air show and boat tours.
