HUBBARD LAKE, Mich. (WXYZ) — An Alpena man already charged with engaging in sexual acts with an animal is now facing charges he sexually assaulted an 8-year-old relative.
On April 19, troopers were called to investigate a report that 18-year-old Damian Barton had been caught on video engaging in sex acts with a dog. The caller reported she had been reviewing her home security video system, when she saw Barton, a family friend, engaging
in the sex acts with her bull terrier/lab mix.
Troopers reviewed the video and spoke with witnesses. The suspect was then arrested and placed in the Alpena County jail. The case was sent to the Alpena County Prosecutor, who issued a felony warrant charging Barton with one count under 750.158.
The subsequent investigation revealed the sexual assault allegations involving the 8-year-old.

He was arraigned in the 88th District Court on a charged of 1st Degree Sexual Conduct and ordered held on $250,000 bond.
