Finalists have been announced for the 2016 North American Car and Truck of the Year.
The car finalists include the Chevrolet Malibu, Honda Civic and Mazda MX-5 Miata.
Truck finalists include the Honda Pilot, Nissan Titan XD and the Volvo XC 90.
A jury of 53 automotive journalists from the U.S. and Canada vote on vehicles considering innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction and value.
The winners will be announced on January 11 during a news conference at the North American International Auto Show.
Last year, the Volkswagen Golf and Ford F-150 were named Car and Truck of the Year.
