The 2017 North American International Auto Show Charity Preview will take to the beach on Friday, Jan. 13 as The Beach Boys will perform!
The group will perform in the Cobo Center Atrium immediately following the Charity Preview.
In 2001, the band received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, which, according to the website, is given to people who "have made creative contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording."
Their album, "Pet Sounds," was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998. Their songs "California Girls," "Good Vibrations," and "In My Room" are also in the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Other artists who have performed at the charity preview recently include Sheryl Crow, Huey Lewis and the News and the Steve Miller Band.
