Huisken Meat Company is recalling nearly 90,000 pounds of beef products because they may have been contaminated with a foreign matter.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Sam's Choice Black Angus Vidalia Onion items were produced between Nov. 19 and Dec. 9. They may have been contaminated with "extraneous wood materials."
The two-pound boxes containing six pieces of "Sam's Choice Black Angus Beef Patties with 19% Vidalia Onion" with use-by dates of May 17, 2016, May 29, 2016 and June 6, 2016.
The products have establishment number "EST. 394A" inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped nationwide.
There have been no reports of any reactions due to eating the products, but consumers who have purchased them should not eat them. They should be thrown away or returned.
