Trader Joe's announced on Friday they are recalling raw cashew pieces because of salmonella concerns.
According to the company, the Trader Joe's Raw Cashew Pieces with barcode number 00505154 is being recalled.
One specific lot with the code "BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4" may be contaminated with salmonella.
The product was sold to Trader Joe's stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C. and Wisconsin.
All bags have been removed from store shelves and the company has suspended sales while they are investigating.
No illnesses have been reported. If anyone has the contaminated bag, you can return it for a full refund.
